

Elsie Ann Craib was born in Roblin, Manitoba Canada, the daughter of Alexander and Williamina (Williamson) Craib. Elsie was baptized and confirmed in the United Church of Canada and kept close to her Christian faith throughout her lifetime. She graduated from high school in Roblin, Manitoba, then moved to Winnipeg where she attended Elmwood College. Following college, she worked for Commercial Insurance Agency and Lowry Insurance Agency in Winnipeg.
Elsie married Herbert C. Muth on September 17, 1955, and they resided in Windsor Park, Winnipeg until moving to Pembina, North Dakota in 1964. While residing in Pembina, Elsie was active in the United Methodist Church, the boy scouts and girl scouts, the Centurion Homemakers Club, and the Red Hats Society. Elsie enjoyed contributing to her community through her work at the duty-free golf course and library. In addition, Elsie loved to read, crochet, knit, play cards, and golf. Elsie also valued spending time with family, including her sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren. During the winter months, Elsie often traveled to Colorado to visit her daughter (Corrie), granddaughters (Caitlin and Carley), and her son (Bill).
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Corrine [Westerson] Force (LeBaron Force) of Grand Junction, Colorado; son, Alexander Muth of Grand Junction, Colorado; granddaughters, Caitlin and Carley Westerson of Denver, Colorado; grandsons, Austin Emerson of Des Moines, Iowa and Dawson Schopp of Charlotte, North Carolina; and brothers, Stanley Craib (Ann) of Ontario, Canada, Daniel Craib of British Columbia, Canada, and Douglas Craib (Muriel) of Ontario, Canada. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Herbert C. Muth; daughter, Linda Diane; son, Kenneth H. Muth; parents Alexander and Williamina Craib; and siblings, Thomas Craib, Jean Finney, Alexander Craib, Margaret Ingaldson and Violet Cardinal.
The memorial service for Elsie Ann Muth will be held at a later date, likely in Summer of 2019. Corrie Force, Elsie’s daughter, will communicate details of the service to those that wish to attend.
