Ernie E. Farris

Ernie was born on July 14, 1966 in Odessa Texas, where he spent most of his childhood and finally moved to Grand Junction in 1982. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1984. Ernie married the love of his life, Dawn in 1986.

Ernie loved to spend time with his family above all, and was so very proud of all four of his kids. He enjoyed playing golf with friends and watching his Dallas Cowboy games. He found joy in all of life’s simple pleasures and could make anyone laugh and feel happy with his contagious smile.

Ernie leaves behind his wife Dawn Farris and four beautiful children; Lindsay, Aaron, Joshua and Taylor all of Grand Junction, his parents; Tony and Peggy Rackley, a sister; Sheila and brothers; Rusty and Charles. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and many countless friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday September 11, 2014 at the Canyon View Vinyard Church. The family invites everyone attending to come dressed in casual, Hawaiian attire, or one of his favorite sports teams.
