Ethan Jeffrey Betz

Ethan passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 24, 2021.

He is survived by his parents, Star and Michael Betz; his brother and best friend, Cameron Betz; grandparents, Trish and George Betz, Dolly and Wally Young and Joann and Gayle Cuppy; great-grandmother, Westa Lewis and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ethan Jeffrey Betz was born on March 16, 1997 in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he began his journey in life, becoming a hardworking, hard playing, solitary man. We love how he would embrace everything in life.

Ethan enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was at Lake Powell with his family, or spending as much time as he could in the mountains. He would spend countless hours camping, riding his four-wheeler, or just hiking around enjoying the beauty and calmness the mountains offered.

He was baptized at the Gunnison Valley Church alongside his great-grandmother, Westa.

There will be a “tailgate” memorial for Ethan, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the River Bend Park in Palisade, Colorado at 2:00 p.m., followed by a truck procession at 5:30 p.m. Please make sure to bring your own chairs.
