Huley served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a planerman at a lumber mill until his retirement.
He was married to the love of his life, Hetta “Sissy”, for 58 years. He loved camping, boating, hunting, fishing, storytelling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Hetta “Sissy”; sons, Chuck (Amber) Mayer of Grand Junction and Denny (Melissa) Mayer of Creede, CO; daughters, Teresa (Allen) Barney and Kelly (Danny) Looker, both of Lehi, UT; brothers, Jesse Mayer of Reno, NV, and Sam Snider of Loyalton, CA ; sister, Marge Arevelo of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren, that he loved as well.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 16, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Military Honors will be at 1:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
