Flora M Rupe - Parkerson, passed away at Hope West Hospice on Sunday, 15 January, 2023. She was 93 years old. She was born on 17 August, 1929 in Ottawa, Kansas to George and Irene Rupe. Her family moved to Colorado, when she was young. She graduated from Appleton Consolidated School in 1947 and Mesa Junior College and worked at the Sally Ann Bakery.
She married Leon Parkerson on 1 June 1950. He proceeded her in death in 2020. They had 5 children, their sons, Gary and Alan, daughters, Janet, Carol (deceased 1959) and Donna, with 7 grand-children and 8 great grandchildren.
She loved art and cake decorating.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at NOON on Friday, 20 January, a private family graveside service will be at Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name at Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, CO.
