

Frank Earl Cooley III passed away at the VA Community Living Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was 82. He was born April 30, 1932 in Yonkers, New York to Frank E. Cooley, Jr. and Elizabeth Morrow Cooley. He grew up in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky where he received a BS in Mathematics, and a Masters Degree in Accounting from Ohio State University.
Frank served in the US Army. He married his wife, Geneva, in Charleston, West Virginia in 1958. Frank was a self-employed CPA in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2010, he and Geneva moved to Grand Junction and lived at Grand Villa.
Frank was a lifelong stamp collector, and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Bengals. He loved nature and animals as well as classical music and opera.
Frank is survived by his wife, Geneva; his son, Frank E. Cooley IV (Margie Wilson), of Grand Junction; his daughter, Loraine L. Cutter of Kansas City, and his sister, Elizabeth Cooley of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
Services are pending and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s name to the Nature Conservancy or the National Wildlife Federation.
In his final days, Frank was well served and kindly cared for at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction.
