Frank Emil Kuretich

Frank Kuretich died on February 19, 2017 at the Veteran's Community Living Center in Grand Junction, CO. Cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Friday, February 24th at 5:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday, February 25th with a reception at IHM immediately following. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at The City of Grand Junction Cemetry (Orchard Mesa).

Frank was born in Crested Butte, CO on May 16, 1930 to Frank and Kathryn Kuretich. The family moved to Paonia in 1935 and Frank attended school there and graduated in 1948. He attended Western State College in Gunnison and Mesa Jr. College in Grand Junction before entering the Army in 1951. Before he was discharged in 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Esther Lucero and they had 5 children and celebrated 65 years of married life. He retired in 1991 after 34 years in sales with Procter & Gamble. Survivors include his wife; sons Mike (Sheila) Kuretich of Arvada, CO, Steve (Jeanette) Kuretich of Grand Junction, CO, daughters, Francine (Keith) of Fort Collins, CO, Christine (Jim) of Las Vegas, NV and Jo (John) of Grand Junction, CO. Also 7 grandchildren; Jordan Kuretich, Brandon Kuretich, Brian Blackburn, Rachel Blackburn, Jeep Gronnebek, Christopher Kelly and Jenny Kelly. One sister, Frances Kralj of Gresham, OR and five great grandchildren. A brother Mike and two sisters, Josephine and Katherine preceded him in death.
