Freddy P. Valdez, 87, Grand Junction, died June 5, 2014, at HopeWest Hospice and Palliative Care Center. Private services will take place at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Lotte; one son, Fred H. of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Helga Martin of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
