

Gail Doreen (Monds) Mohrman was born October 24, 1941, in Edenton, NC. She was the second daughter of Herbert Marvin and Virgie Louise (Bond) Monds. Gail passed away at her home in Fruita, CO, December 11, 2021, with her beloved Yorkie, Ziggie, by her side.
While living in Norfolk, VA, Gail met and married, Phillip B. Mohrman of Arapahoe, NE, on October 30, 1959. They were married 45 years before Phil’s untimely death in 2004.
Gail had several different occupations throughout her life. She was a nurse’s aide at Plateau Valley Hospital, cook at the D – J Café, and a dental assistant for Dr. Keith Bollenbaugh in Palisade, CO. She enjoyed having breakfast or lunch with dear friends (you know who you are), crossword puzzles, playing cards, especially Bridge, crocheting, shopping on QVC and watching “In the Kitchen with David”, “tormenting” her children with the clothes she sewed for them, and reading romance novels. Her greatest joy was being a wife and following her husband, Phil, on his many adventures and working by his side on numerous projects.
Gail is survived by her children, Lee (Nancy) Mohrman, Cindy (Larry) Francis, and Pamela Paxton; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Her siblings, Barbara (Late husband, Don) Gwin of Chesapeake, VA, Debbie (partner, Donna) Bailey of Wellborn, FL, Tammy (Danny Dively) Myers and brother, Wayne (Linda) Bailey, both of Ormond Beach, FL. Sister-in-Law, Rebecca (Vern) Bletscher of Arapahoe, NE.
She is united in death with her husband, Phil, her youngest son, Phillip Jr., her parents, and grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Grand Junction, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Oncology or any Breast Cancer Organization.
