George was born on February 22, 1927 to Nestor and Cloltilda Roybal in Minturn Colorado. He resided there until moving to Salida, Colorado and then moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. George was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Japan, during WWII; he was also a member of the American Legion. George also loved to spend time with his family and watching the Broncos games. George was a Miner at New Jersey Zinc in Gilman, Colorado and was a Miner at Climax Molybdenum Mine in Climax, Colorado.
George is survived by his Wife Betty Roybal, which they have been married for over 60 years. George has three sons; George, Frederick (Becky), Danny (Susan) Roybal. George has one daughter Janet (Doug) Davis, and one brother Ned Roybal, and three sisters; Lena De Herrera, Susie Zamaripa, and Tillie Gonzalez. There are 14 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
There will a Visitation on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 4pm to 7pm and the Rosary will follow the Visitation at 7pm at Martin Mortuary. A Catholic Mass will be on November 6, 2012 at 11am at St. Joseph Church. Graveside service with Honors to follow mass at Memorial Gardens.
