Glen was born the third son of Adolf and Sylvia Hansen, in Broomfield, Colorado on April 15, 1934.
He attended East Lake School until he left to work on the family farm.
As a young man he worked on his father’s garbage truck until he joined the Army in 1958.
He was accredited as a sharp shooter including machine guns and rocket launchers. He Married Alma Mae Bassett in April of 1960. His first son Michael was born in November 1960 and his second son David was born in June 1963.
Glen was a skilled flooring and tile installer and had his own business for over 50 years.
Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Cathy) Hansen and David (Denise) Hansen all of Eckert, Colorado, four grandchildren; Matt Hansen of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jayme Holihan of Brooksville, Florida, Emily Hansen of Fort Collins, Colorado and Sam Hansen of Temecula, California.
A Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Martin Mortuary, 550 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at True Life Church of Cedaredge, 1507 SW 9th Street, Cedaredge, CO 81413, followed by a Graveside Military Honors Service at Cedaredge Cemetery, 205 SE Independence Avenue, Cedaredge, CO 81413.
