Gloria R Armenta

Gloria R. Armenta, March 27, 1938 – January 8, 2025. Gloria, 86, was a Grand Junction resident, who passed away peacefully at Hope West surrounded by family on January 8, 2025. Gloria was born on March 27, 1938, in Los Sauces, CO, the daughter of Raphael and Elisaida Rendon.

Gloria graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO Suma Cum Laude with a BA in Elementary Education. She taught First and Second grade at Downey Elementary for 20 years in Cortez, CO.

Gloria was an accomplished artist, she enjoyed reading, writing, puzzles, gardening and was an avid animal lover. Gloria’s passions in life were her faith and family.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom Armenta and her brother Wil Rendon. Gloria is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Jay), sons Tommy (Alison) and Alex (Blanca), three grandchildren, Alexandra (Noah), Seth, Isabella and one great grandchild Noemi. Gloria is also survived by her sister Mary Trujillo, sister-in-law Kathy Rendon and brother-in-law Leo Armenta along with numerous nieces and nephews.

We will miss her beautiful smile, gentleness, loving and giving heart. Godspeed, until we meet again!
