

Gordon Michael Sharpe passed away peacefully at his Grand Junction residence on December 7, 2020 he was 62. Gordon was born at St. Mary’s Hospital on April 24, 1958, the only child of Dean Galen and Katherine Ann Frank Sharpe. Gordon lived his entire life in Grand Junction, CO
Gordon’s first six years of education were spent at St. Joseph’s Catholic School. He was an altar boy at St. Joseph’s with longtime friend Mark Wagner. He attended Central High School and later received his GED.
Gordon was employed for many years in the automotive aftermarket parts industry. He worked for Bob’s American Auto and Billings Auto Parts. He later moved into the heavy equipment industry as a Parts Specialist, working for Wagner Equipment and retiring from Power Motive.
Gordon married Cena Lea Hiett on February 17, 1978. They welcomed their only child, Trevor Michael on May 12, 1985, whom was also born at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Gordon enjoyed many outdoor activities, camping, fishing, hunting with the later years riding trails on his side x side. He was known to take an occasional gambling trip as well. Gordon was an avid LV Raiders fan, but you could catch him rooting for the Denver Broncos when he thought no one was watching. He loved almost any sport with particular interest in NASCAR, NHRA and Super/Moto Cross. Gordon also enjoyed spending time in his shop or anyone else’s. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix almost anything.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Uncles, John, Don, Buddy, Bob and Aunt, Mary Ellen. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter-in-law Shannon and granddaughter Ruthe Ann. Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Mike and Rita Hiett, niece, Hailey Hiett and nephew Travis Hiett all of CA. Nephew Michael Galloway and family of WA. Aunt and Uncle, Paul and Jody Wells of Grand Junction and Aunt, Irene Frank of CA. As well as many cousins and friends in the western states. Although Gordon was an only child he cherished his friendships and thought of his friends as brothers. They include but not limited to Jim, Don, Jimmy, Barry, Tom and Dave.
Services will be held at later date once a proper celebration can be held. Services entrusted to Callahan-Edfast.
