Also known as “Willow”
May 13, 1987 – October 24, 2026
Heather Jean Heinecke, lovingly known as Willow, was born on May 13, 1987, to John Heinecke and Pat Stickens Heinecke. She spent most of her life in Colorado, where she developed a deep love for nature, the outdoors, and the freedom of the open road.
The youngest of seven children, Heather had a spirit all her own. She loved her family deeply and found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. Music and dancing brought happiness to her life, and she loved gardening, exploring nature, and feeling the wind in her hair from the back of a motorcycle. She was curious by nature and enjoyed researching, learning, and discovering new things about the world around her.
Heather worked in construction, a field that reflected her hardworking nature and determination. She appreciated being outdoors and embraced the freedom and beauty she found in the natural world. Whether she was enjoying music, dancing, tending a garden, riding on the back of a bike, or learning something new, Heather had her own way of finding joy in life.
Heather is survived by her beloved children: her sons, Joshua Heinecke and Richard Haubach, and her daughter, Chloe. She is also survived by her brothers, Jeff Heinecke and Joseph Heinecke; her sisters, Sara Hengen and Trishia Hill; and her many cherished nieces and nephews, along with extended family and loved ones.
Heather was preceded in death by her father, John Heinecke; her mother, Pat Stickens Heinecke; her brother, John Heinecke; and her sister, Becky Heinecke.
Heather, or Willow as she was lovingly known, will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, her connection to nature, and her love of music, dancing, and learning. Though her time here was far too short, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of her children, family, and everyone whose life she touched.
Her laughter, her love of the outdoors, and the memories of the moments shared with her will be treasured always.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Willow.
