

Helen was born on April 22, 1936 in Syracuse, New York from the union of Milton and Helen Graham. She graduated from High School in Syracuse where she learned to tap dance at a young age and become fond of signing country music. A favorite tap and singing selection was the song “Stairway to the stars”.
She married Phillip O. Anderson in Syracuse, NY on June 4, 1955. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was wonderful with people and loved to entertain. She liked to work puzzles, go camping and during their time in Arizona Phil and Helen traveled. The family later moved to Aurora, Colorado and then Battlement Mesa for a couple of years, until moving to Grand Junction in 1995.
Helen is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years; Phillip O. Anderson of Grand Junction, CO, a son; Norman (Dawn) Anderson of Boulder, CO, a daughter; Kathleen (Terry) McDonald of Spokane, WA, a brother; Bob Graham of Syracuse, NY and two grandsons; Evan Anderson and Braden Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a bother Milton Graham.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Martin Mortuary.
