Chatterson
March 27, 1941 - February 14, 2014
Heaven received Jackie Dan ""Jack"" Chatterson, February 14, 2014. Fittingly on a day celebrating loved ones, Jack quietly passed from this mortal life into one surrounded by eternal love and peace.
Born in Clay Center, Nebraska, Jack will lay to rest at Inland Cemetery northeast of Hastings, Nebraska February 21, at 1:00.
Jack had touched the lives of many, warming us with his infectious smile and ease of laughter. Papa Jack had an adventurous soul and spontaneous nature and would set out whenever he ""had a notion"". He was equally happy to be sitting on the porch, cold drink in hand with family and friends talking for hours as he was cruising on his Harley or jeeping through the high country. At a drop of a dime, Jack never hesitated to help someone in need to hoist a bale, man a shovel or swing a hammer. Jack served in the National Guard and as a steward of the land in farming, Jack built a legacy that will last generations.

——
Heaven received him, fittingly on a day celebrating loved ones, Jack quietly passed from this mortal life into one surrounded by eternal love, hope and peace, joining all others his family has been blessed to know and love.
Although only about 15 miles separate his place of birth and his place of rest, Jack traveled far and wide, touching the lives of so many, warming his family with his infectious smile and ease of laughter.
Papa Jack had an adventurous soul and would set out whenever he “had a notion…” Never a planner, his spontaneous nature took him, and anyone who cared to join him, to places most of us would never see or visit. He was equally happy to be sitting on the porch, cold drink in hand with family and friends talking for hours as he was cruising on his Harley or jeeping through the high country.
At the drop of a dime, Jack never hesitated to help someone in need to hoist a bail, pick up a shovel or wing a hammer. This man would give you the shirt off his back. He always had a way of doing things — his way. Sometimes right, sometimes wrong, but somehow things always got done.
