

William “Bill/Peb” James Rocke Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 24, 2026. Bill was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, on January 21, 1954, to Berta Donn (Flagg) Gardner and William James Rocke Sr. He graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1972 and later graduated from the Percussion Institute of Technology on September 19, 1982.
Bill was a man of many trades and talents. He was a drummer, an artist, a master carpenter, and the owner of his own jerky-making company. He also worked alongside his father at Frontier Adjusters, among other pursuits.
Bill is survived by his half-brother, Jim Rocke; his aunt, Marilyn Kotich; his cousins, Kim Agnew, Diana Gittlein, Sheri McAuliffe, and Linda Binder; and his four step-siblings, Denise Slane, Dyann Kominski, Stephanie Sweeney, and Kevin Gardner.
Bill will be laid to rest at Orchard Mesa Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to The Art Center of Grand Junction.
