Jean was born on July 28, 1949 in Grand Junction, Colorado from the union of Raymond Monroe and Ruby Cecil Blanchfield. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in the class of 1967. She later attended Mesa College in Grand Junction where she obtained her Associates in Business and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development at Portland State University, Portland, Oregon. She started her career as a Teacher, specializing in gifted and dyslexia education.
Jean raised three healthcare professionals, two with homeschooling through college. She enabled three of her own children and countless others to read and succeed in life, through steadfast work and saintly patience. Always one to bless others with a smile, a hug, and encouragement; she was a loving mother, a wonderful wife, a blessing of a sister, and an inspirational teacher and mentor.
A defining characteristic of Jean was her unshakable faith in God and her unceasing prayer for others. A true servant warrior, she lifted many others up and enabled the best plan for their lives.
Her blessings and outreach extended even further through crafts. She created several hundred hats and scarves for missionary trips and gifts, and sewed many scrub hats for healthcare heroes both before and during a pandemic.
Jean leaves behind her Husband Robert Wilkinson, a son Christopher Wilkinson, two daughters, Sara Ann Wilkinson and Tammy Eubanks, a sister, Betty Spendlove and a grandson, Corey Eubanks. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barabara.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2019 at Grand Junction Memorial Garden Cemetery.
