

Loes was born Jeannette Louise Veuger on November 13, 1936 in The Hague, Netherlands to Johannes Maarten Albert Veuger and Jeannette Louise Veuger-LeRutte. She was educated in the Netherlands and was a registered nurse. She graduated from Palomar College with her R.N. Degree and received a Bachelor of Science degree from National University in the Netherlands. She worked as a nurse for many years and was always helping others.
Loes was married on November 14, 1956 but divorced in 1980. She had three sons, Ronald Theodore (Heather) Krane, Gilbert Michel (Penny) Krane and Paul Richard (Ellen) Krane. She had 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her parents; a brother, Joor Veuger; and sister, Mies Vandebrand-Veuger preceded her in death.
Loes converted to the Greek Orthodox Church when she lived in California and remained very devout in her Orthodox faith. She would often invite others to join her in worship and she was always active in any activity taking place in church.
A Trisagion service will be prayed on Holy Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. The funeral service will be celebrated on Holy Wednesday, April 28 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 3585 North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or a charity of choice. May her memory be eternal.
