Jerrie "Sue" (Godard) Ruckman was called to heaven on January 26, 2013. She was born in Kermit, Texas to Edwin and Johnny Mae (Gruben) Godard on July 25th 1945. Sue was a longtime resident of the Grand Valley and also lived in Denver and Scottsdale, AZ. She was married to Albert Ruckman on October 22, 1960. They began their married life in Fort Collins where Albert was going to college. They moved as necessary for jobs and education finally retiring and building their dream home in Palisade, Colorado. Sue was a loving wife of 52 years and a wonderful mother to not only her four children but many others who were blessed to have her influence on their lives. She did whatever was necessary to help support her husband and children whether financially or spiritually. Kids always came first in her life. She had a great influence on all who knew her with her loving way and dedication to family and friends. She enjoyed baking, canning and running Ruckman Orchards as well as her many craft endeavors.
Her family can never express in words the love they have for her and she for them.
