Jessica was a beautiful soul who cared deeply for those around her. She always put others first, whether those closest to her or those she barely knew. She helped get them through tough times and always provided a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to listen, always making an effort to help her loved ones no matter the need. She enjoyed learning, traveling, and history. Cosplay was a passion of hers, as was attending conventions to display her work and meet new friends. She watched anime, played games and enjoyed the occasional nights with friends. Jessica's talents as a seamstress were manifested in how she helped on local plays at Colorado Mesa University and served as a reporter for her high school newspaper. As a cultured woman, she was bilingual, speaking both English and Mandarin Chinese. She loved traveling, spending time in places such as China, Japan, the UK, France, Italy and more. She is survived by her two sisters, mother, father, stepfather, maternal and paternal grandparents, her fiance Clint McKenzie and many friends. She will be deeply missed by all.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy at the death of Jessica. Your family and she are in my prayers and I will have a Mass offered for her with the Carmelites from the Shrine of the Little Flower in Darien, Illinois.
May God grant her eternal rest and peace and comfort to your family.
I was physically unable to be present at the funeral, but remembered all in prayer that day.
God bless all of you,
Sister Marjorie Feuerborn. SCL

In my impression, Jessica is a kind and beautiful college girl. Before l knew her mother. By chance she was my interpreter, because my English is not very good. So my son Bryce's school invited her to translate for me at a IEP meeting. In my memory, during the two-hour IEP meeting, she tried her best to translate any words if I did not understand. She was very patiently and kindly. It made a deep impression on me. When I saw her again at a international dinner party, her equally kind and cheerful mother introduced that this was my daughter. I really think sister Serena is so lucky to have such a well-mannered daughter. We are so sadly to lose you. May god be with you. No paint in heaven. Pray for sister Serena and her family!
