He is survived by his wife, Connie Rae; two sons, John Forest of Spokane, Washington, and Cecil Gibbon of Grand Junction; one daughter, Renee Day of Grand Junction; three sisters, LaVida Lyda of Denver, Peggy Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas, and Judy Wass of Belgrade, Montana; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

John Johnson, 72, passed away on May 18, 2016, at his home in Loma, Colorado. He was born September 13, 1943, in Bozeman, Montana, to Marjorie and Cecil Johnson.
John was a meat cutter for City Market. His interests included fishing, hunting, raising a big garden, and woodworking. He was always playing jokes on everyone, was willing to help anyone, and loved being with family and having fun.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, John Forest Johnson of Spokane, WA, and Cecil Gibbon Johnson of Grand Junction; daughter, Renee Day of Grand Junction; sisters, LaVida Lyda of Denver; Peggy Johnson of Harrison, AR, and Judy Wass of Belgrade, MT; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 4, 2016, at the Stillwater Cowboy Church, 1956 Hwy. 6 & 50, Fruita, CO.
