OBITUARY

John R Potter

December 29, 1953February 17, 2021

John (Jack) R. Potter, beloved husband of Ernestina Potter passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the age of 67.

He was the loving father of five wonderful children; Julie Potter (daughter), Mario Potter (son), Charlie Potter (son), John Potter Jr. (son), and Andrea Potter (daughter).

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Jack had a passion for wine tasting, traveling, home improvement, clock work and a love for the outdoors. That being said, his greatest passion involved shaping, encouraging and loving those in his life. Whether it was shaping young adults into great family men with reliable careers or bringing the room to tears dancing with his daughter at her wedding, Jack’s touch on those around him was not only undeniable, but done in a unique character that only he could perfect. Jack had a bright, kind, and caring personality towards those around him. He has touched many lives with his generosity and passion for life.

The Good Lord will bring an amazing man home but we will miss the amazing man that he blessed us with for so many years.

Jack was one of finest people I have met in the oil industry. I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work him, and will miss him dearly, as I am sure we all will. If more people took the time to be as kind as he was, then the world would be a better place. We shared a lot over the years, and I will miss that comradery. Life is but a vapor, we aren't here long, and Jack spent his time wisely through his acts of kindness. Thank you brother for letting me get to know you, even though it was only for a short while.

Jack and I worked on clocks together in my clock repair business since the spring of 2017. During that time we developed a very nice friendship.

Jack was one of the kindest and most decent man I have ever known and I will sure miss him. He especially loved and cared for his family.
