Survivors include his parents, Bob Silva Sr. of Fruita and Amy Aragon of DeBeque; one brother, Bob Silva Jr. of Eagle; four sisters, Evie Jones of Bowman, North Dakota, Brittney Deleon and Anna Cruz, both of Parachute, and Louise Gomez of DeBeque.

John ""Alex"" Silva passed Friday in his sleep at home in Fruita CO. Alex was
27 years old at the time of his early departure from friends and family. A graduate of Fruita Monument High School and art major at Mesa University. He had a true love for all forms of art and music.
His loving nature, quick wit, and flamboyant personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Alex was preceded in death by his mother Effie Silva, and is survived by his father Bob Silva Sr. sister Evie Silva-Jones, brother Bob Silva Jr., Birth mother Amy Jo Aragon, siblings Britney, Anna, and Luis, and loving grandmother Perta Rojas.
A rosary will he held at Calihan Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction on Thursday August 20th. 2015 at 7:00 pm.
A celebration of Alex's life will be at Emmanuel Christian Assembly Church
In Fruita, CO. On Saturday 22nd 2015 at 1:00 pm.

Alex Silva passed away in his home in Fruita, CO on August 15, 2015.
He was born on March 21, 1988, to Amy Joe Aragon, in Grand Junction.
As a child Alex was always wearing hand made costumes, ""Ghost Busters"", ""Army Guy"", whoever he felt like being.
Alex was a life long student. He wanted to be a College Professor, and studied at CMU. He was an amazing artist, painting, working with metals, and so much more. Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree just this year, unfortunetly it was after his passing.
He enjoyed traveling to New Mexico to see the local art with his girlfriend, Laura Shaffer.
Alex doted on his parents, Bob Silva, Sr. in Fruita, and Effie Silva, who predeased him in 2011.
He is survived by his father, Bob; mother, Amy Joe Aragon; brother, Luis Gomez of DeBeque; Bob Silva, Jr. of Eagle, CO; sisters, Adrianna Cruz and Brittany Cruz of Parachute, CO; Eva (Ernie) Silva-Jones of ND, and numerous nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on March 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
