John (Jack) R. Warner, 80, died September 3, 2017 at Community Living Center, V.A. Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Jack was born to Walter and Audrey (DeForest) in Toledo, Ohio on August 13, 1937. He spent his childhood in Toledo, Lake George, MI, and graduated high school in St. Johns, MI. Following graduation, Jack joined the U.S. Army. In 1961, he married Phyllis Boice in Grand Rapids, MI, and together they had 3 children. Jack worked as a mechanic for various organizations.
Jack is preceded in death by his siblings; Charles Edward Warner, James Walter Warner, Sharon Mae Warner Cressman Brooks, and William Leon Warner. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Robert Allan Warner of Bellingham, WA, Daniel Scott Warner of Las Animas, CO, John (Kris) Warner of Grand Junction, CO; sister, Shirley Ellen Birdsell of Adrian, MI; grandchildren, Katherine Reed of Palisade, CO and Sean (Amber) Hilleary of Dacono, CO; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
