February 28, 1951 - April 8, 2015
John Clyde Wiederkehr was a proud and humble Colorado Native born in Del Norte, CO into the marriage of Clyde Wiederkehr and Lola Marie Morgan on February 28, 1951.
John peacefully joined his parents; sister, Bertrice Wiederkehr Turner, and brother, Robert Wiederkehr into eternal rest on April 8, 2015.
He left behind his many beloved family members, wife, Anne Lello Marrero; daughters, Tannice Wiederkehr, Kirsten Wiederkehr, Thea Jon Wiederker Hunter, Beth Ann Marrero, Karen Marrero Cassera; son, Todd Marrero; granddaughters, Maddi Wiederkehr Baker, Hannah Cassera, Haley Cassera; grandson, Karson Hunter, and a new found niece, Robin Lello. In addition there are many extended family members and friends within Colorado, California, Texas, and Washington State who mourn his loss. He and his cousin, David Duncan (Charlotte) were especially close, as well as his longtime friend born just days apart, Mark Underwood (AnnMarie).
John lived life with a zest like no other. To meet him, meant to love him. His sense of humor, caring heart, and loving legacy will live long in the minds of everyone who knew him.
His talents were endless, including mechanical skills, woodworking, construction, and THE all around Handyman. You name it, he could do it! He loved riding his road and mountain bikes, sky diving, flying, the outdoors, skiing, roller blading, his family, and especially making people laugh.. He's known in Grand Junction due to his employment with Hilltop, St Mary's Hospital, GJ Endoscopy Center, and of course his greatest joy, JC Wiederkehr Home Inspection Service, which he created in 1999.
Thus, we extend our sincere gratitude to all those he had the opportunity to work with in the Real Estate field. From clients, the many agents, to everyone within the process of buying a home. He truly enjoyed working with people to make their dreams of buying their perfect, and often their first home a reality. Everyone who knew John also knew how he truly loved his work, and all people. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you. With your assistance it was possible for John to do the work he loved so much for the past 16 years.
In keeping with the wishes of this Gentle Giant, there will be no public memorial. But rather a private ceremony, in Celebration of who he was, scheduled at a later date.
Thank you all for giving him the opportunity to provide his service to so many. You all can be sure he's looking down on every one of you, with his warmest smile of gratitude.
