Joyce worked in daycare for over 30 years. Her biggest joy in life was holding her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was often found making baked goods for one church event or another. Joyce was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and did mission work for Grace Children's Hospital in Haiti. She worked tirelessly collecting supplies and making diapers to be sent to support Grace Children's Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald; sons, William, Rick (wife Jane) and Bruce (wife Ora) of Grand Junction; Timothy (wife Becky) of San Tan Valley, AZ; Stacey (wife Barbara) of Georgetown, TX; brother, Leonard Sawtelle of Rimrock, AZ; sister Leona Smith of Amarillo, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on April 30th at Crossroads UMC. Memorial contributions can be made to Crossroads UMC Missions.
