Julia Adele Chadwick

June 9, 1936 – August 30, 2026

Julia Adele Chadwick, our lovable wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, with her daughters by her side and her eternal companion waiting to bring her home. She was 90 years old.

Adele was born to Ernest and Merle Garrett in Lehi, Utah. She graduated from Lehi High School in 1954 and then attended LDS Business College.

At the age of 15, Adele met her childhood sweetheart, Jerry, at a dance. They later married and spent 67 wonderful years together.

Jerry and Adele moved to Colorado in 1960. Adele was a homemaker while also holding various bookkeeping jobs. She enjoyed working at CO Ski Country at the airport for a time.

Adele and Jerry became foster parents through Catholic Social Services, welcoming 20 babies into their care over several years. Their compassion and love for children became an important part of their lives.

In her later years, Adele found great joy in traveling with Jerry, as well as spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and grand puppies.

Adele was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri (Steve) and Crista (Scott); three grandchildren, Hayden (Madi), Riley, and Samantha (Jeremiah); and one great-granddaughter, Callie.

She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Jerry, and her daughter, Bunny.

A private family memorial will be held.
