

Julie was born in Cripple Creek, Co. to Joy and Dick Swerdfeger.
The family moved to Telluride, where her brother Bret was born.
Her family lived in Ouray for a few years, then back to Telluride.
Growing up, Julie and Bret went to school in Telluride. Sometimes sledding to school. Julie's 5th grade teacher was her mom, Joy.
They went hiking, Jeeping, and learned to ski.
Julie learned to ski on the old rope tow. She skied Dallas Divide. Mastered the T-bar's and won ski racing medals.
Some of Julie's Middle School years were spent with her Aunt Patty and Uncle Jim in Wheatridge, Co.
Julie enjoyed spending time with her aunt and uncle and cousins, Glenda and Derek.
Later her family moved to Grand Junction, where Julie graduated from Central High School.
Some of Julie's favorite things were smarties and M&M's candy.
She liked the old Telluride Drugstore and Ice Cream Floats. She liked butterflies, dolphins and sparkly things.
Julie's daughter, Kelly, loved to make her mother her favorite Strawberry Jello.
Julie Married Link Hochnadel on August 21, 2012.
Julie and Link liked to go hiking on the Monument and trips to Glenwood hot springs.
Her last trip to Lake Powell, Julie really enjoyed.
Passing before Julie were grandparents Elmer and Shirley Swerdfeger and Joe and Joanna Wiltsie.
Julie leaves behind daughter Kelly, Husband Link Hochnadel, Parents Joy and Dick Swerdfeger, and her brother Bret Swerdfeger (leigh).
Including her aunt and uncle and cousins in Grand Junction, Arizona, California and Oregon.
The Memorial will be at 12:00 PM on May 17, 2025, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary
