Juliette Michelle Berry was born August 10, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. She passed away, after drowning as a result of a paddle boarding accident, on June 2nd, 2024, at 17 years old. Although she was the youngest of four kids, she was the first to do many things: get a cast, participate in a foreign exchange program, try aerial silks (as well as skateboarding, trick longboarding, and tae kwon do), compete in gymnastics, tennis, and mountain biking, graduate a semester early from High School, earn the Iron Tiger award at Grand Junction High School for lettering in three sports her freshman year (cross country, tennis, and diving), make state in tennis and mountain biking, take an AP class her freshman year, play a reed instrument and participate in the Centennial Band, come up with elaborate and effective practice games to keep herself motivated on the clarinet, get her tongue stuck on a frozen bridge, sky dive, DJ family road trips, do a back flip on skis, set off emergency alarms in a hotel in Salzburg AND an art museum in Munich, fly an airplane, pay for her own drivers education training so she could get her driver’s license at 16 instead of 16 ½, get student of the year (8th grade), make it to state in a science fair, participate in ALT, win 1st place in ceramics at the Altrusa Art Fair, and the list goes on and on. She will be missed by her family, friends, and the entire world that she would have influenced and shaped.
Her funeral will be 3:00pm on Saturday, June 8th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 2542 G Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505.
