Ms. Roberts was a medical assistant.

She is survived by one son, Ryan of San Clemente, California; her mothers, Shirlene Cusolito of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, and Gaye Westenskow of Grand Junction; and one sister, Cindy Van Velkinburgh of Kaysville, Utah.

Kathleen Roberts, a woman whose heart was bigger than her body. Always was there to help and listen to others and never expected anything in return. I have to say that was her biggest fault and her biggest strength, she always was there for us; never put herself first and we never gave back as much as she put out.Our loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt left us without pain on March 6, 2015 at Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Kathy was born on October 11, 1950. Kathy served and cared for many patients as a medical office assistant for many years in New Mexico, Arizona, California and Utah. For the past 10 or so years you could find her at Home Depot, where she was employed in both Roswell, NM and Grand Junction, CO.Survived by her son Ryan Roberts of San Clemente, Ca. her pride and joy; her loving mothers Shirlene (John) Cusolito of Ruidoso Downs, NM and Aunt Gay (Wally) of Grand Junction, CO; sister Cindy Van Velkinburgh (Bill) of Kaysville, UT; nephew Bryan (Kathryn) of Farmington, UT, nieces Celeste (Matt) of South Jordan, UT; and Valerie (Kamron) of Farmington UT; great nephew’s Conley, William and Atticus.; great nieces Emma and Kate; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her companion for years, Micki. Preceded in death by her father James H Roberts and her sister Garlene. Memorial services will be held in Kathy’s honor March 20, 2015 at 10:30 AM, 3076 E ½ Road, Grand Junction, CO. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on March 23, 2015 at Ruidoso Forest Lawn Cemetery.A special thanks to the staff in ICU at Community Hospital.
