Mr. Mumby was a retired attorney.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; one son, Mark of Grand Junction; one daughter, Mary Mumby of Windsor; one brother, Charles of Omaha, Neb.; and five grandchildren.

Keith passed away Thursday, March 20, at home.

Keith was born May 27, 1931, in Crawford, Nebraska to Wendell and Edna Mumby. He spent his childhood years in Harrison, Nebraska. He graduated from Sioux County High School and the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. After graduating from UNL, he entered the United States Navy where he served on the USS Pawcatuck AO 108 in the Mediterranean during the Korean War, as a Lt. J.G. After his discharge from the Navy, he entered University of Colorado College of Law.

Keith married Jean Perrin from Alliance, Nebraska in June, 1956. After graduation from Law School, they moved to Grand Junction, CO, where they made their home and Keith practiced law.

Keith, also known as ""Big Red"" remained a true Husker fan. He enjoyed his family, Lake Powell, traveling, skiing, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.

He was involved in many community activities. He was president of the Lions Club, and received the 'Lion of the Year' award. He was on the Board of Directors of what is now Wells Fargo Bank starting in 1964, Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, three times a member of the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Board, where he worked for the establishment of Canyon View Park, secretary of Mesa County Republican Party, Mesa County Development Council Board, president of Mesa County Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors, Boy Scouts of America Board, Grand Mesa Little League Board, and coached a team for several years. He served on the Parents Accountability Committee at Grand Junction High School, Mesa County Veterans Park Board, Mesa College Foundation Board, and Partners Foundation Board and Youth Services Board.

Keith is survived by his wife, Jean; twins, son, Mark and Rhonda Mumby and their children, Tyler, Ashley, and Ryan of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Mary Mumby and children, Devyn and Logan of Windsor, CO; son-in-law, Tom Adkison of Carbondale, CO; brother, Charles and Carol Mumby and their children, Max and Mendy of Omaha, Nebraska. A daughter, Susan Mumby-Adkison, preceded him in death.
