Kerry Dawn Rutledge was born July 11, 1955 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, CO to William H. (Bill) Rutledge and Lois (Roe) Rutledge. She attended Cortez schools until 1970 when her father was assigned to Grand Junction where she graduated from Central High School in 1973. Her goal, even before she graduated, was top work at Mountain Bell, where she retired from many years later. During the early 80's, she met Rick Marquez and they shared approximately 35 years together prior to his death in 2020.
Kerry loved her family, her friends, and her animals. She enjoyed fishing, camping, working with plants, and hanging out with her family and friends.
Kerry was predeceased by Rick Marquez; her father, Bill Rutledge; and her sister Shannan. She is survived by her mother, Lois Rutledge; her niece, Megan (Punk); and Megan's two children, Kaylea and James; and her great great nephew, Dakota. She is also survived by her many cousins and many friends.
