Kiera Breanne Quintana, was taken from this earth tragically in the early morning hours on July 15, 2017. Kiera was a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and good friend to so many. It is our hope that family and friends are comforted in knowing that Kiera is now eternally resting with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our sweet Kiera Breanne Quintana, was born on June 1, 2000, at St Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. From a young age, Keira (KiKi) was passionate about many things. She developed a natural love and talent for music and dance of all kinds. Her dedication to dance and music was reflected in many ways during her short 17 years here on earth and has left an impact on many who knew her.
KiKi was an involved student at Palisade High School, as a member of the Band, Cheerleading, and Express All-Stars Cheer and Dance. She spent many long hours practicing cheer and dance, and with her instruments ranging from the piano, marimba, trumpet, keyboard, and guitar, just to name a few. One of KiKi’s favorite things to do was spend time playing and singing old country music from the 50’s and 60’s with one of her best friends (her father, Mike Quintana). Kiki would have been a senior this coming school year and was looking forward to spending time with her friends and family, as well as graduating high school and pursuing her hope of joining the United States military, more specifically the Army Band. Undoubtedly, Kiki would have moved forward with her dreams, inspiring and caring for those around her.
If you were to ask someone to describe who KiKi was to them, they would say she was sweet and kind, thoughtful, had an old soul, a contagious smile, a servant’s heart, loved her family, loved others with ease, was passionate about music and dance, adventurous, uplifting, dependable, and above all, was a great example of how to treat and care for others with grace and compassion. Kiki danced through life so gracefully, always keeping a smile on her face regardless of the circumstances. Kiki’s love for life and Christ-like character has left a mark on all of those who have known her and will continue to impress upon people even though she is no longer with us. Our lovely Kiki will be deeply missed by all. Those that had the opportunity of knowing and loving her will feel a loss that cannot be filled. However, we believe the selfless love of Kiki’s heart will live on in our hearts and memories.
Kiera Breanne Quintana is survived by her father and mother, Mike and Karen Quintana; grandparents, Betty and Bill Chamberlain, and Gabriela Meastas; siblings, Megan (Alex) Gallegos, Zachary Quintana, Jake Quintana, Erika (Mario) Gutierrez, Alicia Quintana, Cody Quintana, Kyla (Chance) Sheldon, Joe Gerhardt, and John Gerhard; and many living aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by grandfather, Miguel V. Quintana, and niece, Georgia Michelle Quintana.
