Survivors include one son, Dennis M. of Denver; and one daughter, Enid L. Howard of Grand Junction; and three grandchildren.

LaMoyne Mark Howard, Jr. died at home in Grand Junction on December 14. He was 87 years old. He was born September 19, 1929, in El Paso, Texas, to LaMoyne M. Howard, Sr. and Emilda Huchton.
LaMoyne liked to go by the name Mark. Mark was an accomplished pilot serving the Air Force in Germany in the mid 1950’s flying reconnaissance. He rose to the rank of Captain in the Air Force. He met Enid Poquette, a civilian Air Force employee, and they married in 1954. Their first child, Michael, was born in Wiesbaden in 1958.
Later they both moved back to the States, settling in Bryan, TX, so he could earn his degree in economics. He also taught flying and crop dusted to earn a living. Their second child, Dennis, was born in Bryan in 1958.
They moved to Denver in 1960, and their third child, Enid L. Howard, was born in 1961. He got on with United Airlines as a flight instructor and then as a pilot to fly domestic routes. He piloted 707s, 720s, 727s, DC-8s, DC-10s, and retired as a Captain in September 1989. He and Enid moved to Grand Junction and built a home together.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Enid P. Howard, in 2006, and his son, Michael, in 2003. He is survived by son, Dennis of Denver; daughter, Enid L. of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; sister, Carolyn of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law, Catherine Howard of Imperial, NE; and six nieces and nephews.
