

Linda Marilyn Bowling (Anderson), was taken to our Lord on November 4th, 2013. Linda was born to the late Carl Q. and Marilyn Anderson in Las Vegas, NM on May 29th, 1949. She spent her first few years in Montrose, CO before moving to Grand Junction, CO where she spent the majority of her life.
Linda was an extremely kind and generous woman, who easily befriended everyone she met. She was constantly smiling and joking.. As a devoted mother to her two children, Linda enthusiastically supported them in all of their activities and life endeavors. Linda volunteered with their school teams, churches, and was there cheering them on in everything they did. Linda was an active member of the Grand Junction community, donating countless hours to charitable organizations throughout her life. Some of these included Homefront Heroes, Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, the National Cancer Society, Live Well, etc.
Linda’s greatest passion was for her family and friends. She loved to spend time with them in countless activities. She was born with a love of animals and they seemed to be drawn to her as well. Linda grew up riding horses and won many awards with them. During her lifetime Linda rescued numerous cats and has had several pet birds. Linda was very active and loved nature. She enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking, boating, and camping.
Linda is survived by her two children, Kelly Walsh and Carl D. Anderson, as well as her two sisters, Peggy Ball and Carla Downing. She has a brother-in-law, Steve Downing, and four nephews - Greg and Mark Downing and Tanner and Garrett Ball.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 am on November 23rd at Calahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, CO with a gathering to follow. In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to the American Cancer Society.
