I thought we had just lost touch because of an e mail address change and started trying to call Linda, but kept getting strange signals from her phone.  I am so very very sad and have the most fond memories of our friendship.  In my early married life, she was always there for me and even when she hardly knew me, she took care of my 3 toddlers for a weekend while we were house hunting!  Her generosity and loyalty were always an inspiration. We enjoyed many of the same things;  but sadly never got to play golf together.  She opened her heart to me and I'm sure to any of her friends.
