Lois was the fourth of five daughters and all of the daughters were born at the family farm.
Lois lived her entire life in Grand Junction.
Lois worked as an Administrative Secretary at Denver Rio Grande Railroad.
Lois served her country by flying support missions domestically during World War II.
Lois was an avid outdoors woman with a special passion for the Grand Mesa and a life long member of the Audubon Society Grand Valley.
Lois married Robert B Burns on January 1, 1948 and from this union came one son, Robert Bruce Burns. Lois was preceded in death by her husband and son.
Lois is survived by her nieces Val Anne (Mark) Welch, Port Townsend, WA and Ross Olivia (Victor) Karreman of Chicago, lL and nephew Garth (Loyda) Hjelte of Spring Hill, TN.
At her request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Her ashes will be scattered later by her family.
