Born in Mineral Hot Springs, Colorado, on December 8, 1938, to the late Lonnie and Willie B. Peek, Lonnie grew up in Mineral Hot Springs and graduated from Florence High School. He went on to marry after Kay Peek (Gertsch) on September 4, 1960, in Pueblo, Colorado, she preceded him in death.
Lonnie spent some time living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but eventually made Grand Junction his home where he resided for forty-six years.
Lonnie was a retired business owner. He had a variety of hobbies, but he especially loved home improvement, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his sisters, Jack Ingraham and Doris Thatcher, and his brother J.O. Peek.
Lonnie is survived by his sons, Russell (Amber) Peek and Michael (Carolyn) Peek of Grand Junction, Colorado; daughters, Cynthia (Stoney) Brown and Becky (John) Muchowski of Grand Junction, Colorado; sister, Betty June Nunn of Pueblo, Colorado; 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Martin Mortuary, with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
