

Louise Kendall, 93, of Grand Junction passed away February 14, 2022. Louise was born February 25, 1928 in Grand Junction, CO to Ethel & Mark McCammon. Louise grew up in Kansas, Gateway, CO & Grand Junction, CO. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1946. Louise met Floyd C. Kendall at a dance and they Married June 21, 1948. The family moved around due to Floyd working for Sprag and Henwood (drilling company). They lived in several different states before moving back to Gateway where she remained until Floyd passed away. Louise worked as Secretary for the Gateway School for many years until she retired. Louise and Floyd where on the volunteer ambulance service in Gateway for years and loved doing it. Louise loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as painting, crocheting and knitting. At any time, you could find her with at least one salt shaker or a package of salt and at least one portable game to play (solitaire, casino etc.). Eventually she had multiple versions on her iPad which she loved to spend time on. She loved to spend time with family fishing, picnics and evening drives to look at local scenery, hoping to find that inspiration for her next painting.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Mark & Ethel, Husband Floyd Kendall, daughter Merle Louise (Suzie) Kendall, brother Bill McCammon, Sister-N-law Pat McCammon, Sister Norma Richardson and daughter-in-law Gussie Kendall. Louise is survived by her Son’s Floyd Kendall of Grand Junction, CO, Darrell Kendall (Gayla) Kendall of Boise, Idaho. Grandchildren Don (Patti) Kendall of Fruita, CO, Eva Kendall of Clifton, CO, Philip (Kahli) of Boise, Idaho, Joe Kendall of Grand Junction, CO, Kristen (Jim) Magnus of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Great Grandkids Tyler and Wyatt Kendall, Savannah Adair, Norah Kendall, and Jack & Claire Magnus.
A Celebration Picnic will be held this summer in Gateway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Art Center, 1803 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
