

Lucille A. Giebler, 93, Grand Junction, died Sept. 8, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Inurnment will follow at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
She is survived by four daughters, Joanne Martin, Ginny Adams, and Cori Spor, all of Grand Junction, and Mauri Kirkham of Fruita; a brother, Eldon Bieker of Enid, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Lucille ""Luci"" Giebler

Lucille Ann Giebler, 93, passed away on September 8, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital, in Grand Junction, after a brief illness.
She was surrounded by her loving family.
Luci was born December 3, 1922, to Philip and Anna Bieker in Ellis, Kansas. Luci married Joseph John Giebler November 27, 1945, in Russell, Kansas. From this union they had five daughters; twins, Joanne (John) Martin of Grand Junction, and Ginny (Ron, deceased) Adams of Grand Junction; triplets, Cori (Tom) Spor of Grand Junction, Dori (Sammy) Weimer
(both deceased) and Mauri (Lee) Kirkham of Fruita.
Joseph and Lucille moved to Colorado, living in Craig, Durango, and settling in Grand Junction in the early 1960s. Luci worked at City Market
as a grocery clerk and retired in 1982.
Luci is survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Dori; sons-in-law, Ron and Sammy, and eight brothers and sisters.
Luci was strong, kind, wonderful and definitely left an amazing legacy behind. She had many qualities we all desire to have.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment at
New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita follows the service.
