Ms. Taylor was a home economist.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Taylor Salter of Grand Junction; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Margaret Ruth Kallsen Taylor died August 27, 2015. Her Memorial Service will be Friday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the LDS Church on G Road.
Born April 28, 1926, to John and Helen Pfingsten Kallsen in Lincoln, New Mexico, Margaret graduated from New Mexico State University with a degree in home economics in 1946. She worked as a home demonstration agent in Clovis, New Mexico, before marrying Hal Richard Taylor, on July 15, 1950.
Hal's agricultural information career took them to land-grant universities in Ohio, Wyoming, Michigan, and Texas. They lived in Washington, D.C. for 26 years before retiring to Grand Junction in 1988, where Hal's relatives owned peach orchards.
Margaret accompanied Hal on assignments to Austria, Colombia and Nepal. She ran her own radio program in Ohio and worked at Robert E. Lee's Arlington House near Washington, D.C. In Colorado, she was active in P.E.O., the First United Methodist Church, the Reviewers Book Club, and the Broad Strokes Paint Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Salter (Alan) of Grand Junction; two step-grandchildren, Jeff Salter (Elise) of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Rachele Salter of Denver; three step-grandchildren, six nieces, and three nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to HopeWest Hospice or the First United Methodist Church, 522 White Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado.
