Marian S Gross

She was born to Frances Marian and Ida Shaffer on Feb 25, 1922 in Branson, Missouri. On Aug 10, 1946 she married the love of her life, John R. Gross. They had two children.

Marian was a nurse for Dr. Gould and Dr. Stidham. She was also Executive Director of the United Way, Green Thumb, and served other community organizations. She also worked for the US Band and United Bank.

She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and served on several different functions in the church.

One of her favorite hobbies included sewing. She was a great cook for family and other Grand Junction functions. She was active until her last days. She walked a mile each day and loved to read her books.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings and her husband John.

She is survived by her children; John/Dick, (Paula) Gross of Grand Junction, Co. and Janice (Skip) Gray of Denver, Co., three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. John Foreman officiating.
