

Marjorie Ann Baxter, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on June 22, 2026.
Born on June 18, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Ivan and Norma Stewart. Marge attended Hooper High School, where she earned a varsity letter in volleyball.
Marge began her career as a secretary and office manager in Fremont, Nebraska. After visiting family in Grand Junction, Colorado, she decided to make it her home. She continued her career there until retiring at 80. Her final position was with Monterey Park Apartments.
Marge had a lifelong love of gardening, traveling, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. She found joy in tending her garden, caring for her flowers, exploring new places, and spending time with her daughter. She will be remembered for her smile, strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and the love she shared with those closest to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Shari Brokenicky, of Grand Junction, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Baxter; her parents, Ivan and Norma Stewart; and her brothers, John Stewart and Richard Stewart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Community Connections Program at Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital.
