Marjorie Joyce Martello Beebe passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus July 13, 2016, after a short illness.
A native of California, Marjorie was born in Sacramento January 14, 1925, to Donn and Doris Martello. Marjorie met her husband, Jack E. Beebe, at a USO event and was married in 1947. She was blessed with eight children, 17 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. Her life exemplified love for and service to her family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She touched thousands of lives during her 91 years.
While living in Hyampom, CA, Marjorie received Christ as her personal savior on the floor of her living room while watching a Billy Graham Crusade on television. From that moment on, she strove to serve her Lord, with a special ministry to children. She was director of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Shasta County, CA, for 15 years, faithfully sharing the gospel in a way children could understand and accept. After moving to Grand Junction in 1995, Marjorie volunteered at Redlands Community Church, River of Life Alliance Church, Colorado Visitors Center, Community Hospital, the Salvation Army and Christian radio station KJOL. She also assisted English language learners as a tutor through Mesa County Library.
In addition to her family, Marjorie’s faith in Jesus Christ was her most cherished possession, and defines the legacy she leaves behind.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter Jill, son William and infant son James. She leaves behind her loving children Jack, Gary, Wendy, Molly and Suzanna. Memorial contributions may be made to River of Life Alliance Church, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
The family sincerely appreciates the loving care of The Oaks Assisted Living, Community Hospital and HopeWest Hospice Care Center. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Redding, CA.
