She was born near Jackson, MO, the daughter of Marie and Waldo Brennecke. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Edward L. Clark of Grand Junction, CO, son, James W. Clark and wife, Carrie, of Tomball, TX daughter, Catherine M. Stampe and husband, Anthony, of Grand Junction, CO; granddaughters Amy Stampe Szallar (Steve) of Colorado and Erica Clark of Texas; grandson Alexander Clark (Kiko) of Texas and 4 great-grandchildren. Both of her parents preceded her in death. She attended Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO and in 1955, married Edward Clark of Rolla, MO. They started their marriage in Ithaca, NY while he attended Cornell University. In 1957, they moved to Tullahoma, TN where she was active in women’s organizations and in raising her two children. In 1966, following a year in Alamogordo, NM, they moved to Albuquerque, NM. She was very active as a Girl Scout leader and volunteered at Presbyterian Hospital. Later, she worked for several years as a CNA at UNM Hospital. Following her retirement, she was active with Bear Canyon Quilters and P.E.O., Chapter AA, NM. In 2011, she and her husband moved to Grand Junction, CO to be closer to family. There she was active in P.E.O., Chapter DY, CO. Her hobbies included attending musical theater performances, quilting, and playing bridge with friends. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
