Mary Louise Lynch, 92
Mary Lou went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2017. She was born on March 17, 1925, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil Putnam and Violet Niday.
Mary Lou was the faithful and beloved wife of Otis E. Lynch. They were married on July 10, 1945, in San Diego, California, where they met and quickly fell in love. She was the loving and devoted Mother to Mike Lynch (Merrilyn) of Smithfield, Utah; Dennis Lynch (Johnnye) of Grand Junction, Colorado; Julie Weaver (deceased); Kim Suplizio (Sam) of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Jeff Lynch of West Jordan, Utah. She was the very proud Grandma of 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy on this Earth was her family. She took pride in her occupation of being an outstanding “Home Engineer,” as she liked to refer to herself as. She was the heart and soul of our family and made our house a warm and loving home.
Mary Lou was known for her quiet, sweet spirit, but she also had a fun, mischievous side to her that we all loved. Her sweetest, greatest gift that she shared with all of us is the way she loved. She loved with her whole heart and soul, no regrets, no reservations. Her love was the pure, unconditional kind, like Christ—love that never fails or fades away. No one ever left her presence without experiencing that gift. She left this world a much better place by being here.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on July 21, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO.
In lieu of flowers or money, please make a donation in her name to HopeWest, 3090B N. 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506, or at www.hopewestco.org.
