

Mayann Fern (Goossen) Longuevan, born to Ferd and Agnes Goossen on January 3, 1939, in Hillsboro, KS, went home to be with her Savior on December 18, 2025. She was surrounded by family in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Mayann was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, a wife of 64 years to her husband, Clair Longuevan, and a loving mother to four children. She was a missionary, alongside her husband, with Avant Ministries serving in Mali, West Africa for 14 years and then in Grand Junction, CO for 41 years before retirement. She spent her life mentoring and teaching the Bible to women and children, ministering in churches with her beautiful singing voice, faithfully praying for family and missionary friends, creating and sending cards of encouragement. One of her favorite Bible verses, Psalm 34:3, defined her life: “O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together!”
She is survived by her husband: Clair Longuevan, siblings: Laverne Goossen (Arlene), Earl Goossen (Marsha), Belia Goossen, four children: Iris Antonucci (Rob), Sonya Becker (Kent), Jewel Most (Phil), and Nathan Longuevan, twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren with one on the way. She is preceded in death by brother, Ervin Goossen and sister-in-law, Joanne Goossen.
