

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel.
Ms. Heighes was an elementary school cook.
She is survived by one son, Leonard S., of Loveland,; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Merlina A Heighes
January 16, 1922 - February 3, 2014
Merlina Annie (Audino) Heighes, formally of Grand Junction, 92 died peacefully in her sleep Monday, Feb 3, 2014 at Columbine Health & Rehab in Fort Collins.
Merlina was affectionately known as Mim to her friends, was a long time cook at Pomona Elementary before retiring in 1989. Mim loved visiting with her neighbors, friends and relatives and missed being away from them.
She is survived by her son Leonard S Heighes and his wife Connie of Loveland, CO; a grandson Michael Heighes of Idaho Falls, ID and a great granddaughter Kyla and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard C Heighes; her brothers Ernest, Paul and John Audino; her sisters Ann Simonetti, Mary Triffoletti and Irene Hannigan.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice of Larimer County or St Joseph Church in Grand Junction. Funeral service set for Friday, February 7, arrangements are being handled by Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
