Merrill was born to Irene and Clarence Merritt on September 25, 1936 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was a custodian in El Paso School District 11 for many years before working as a telecommunications equipment technician, and then his subsequent retirement.
Merrill Merritt is preceded in death by his parent, his brother’s Bob (Barbara) Merritt, and Mike (Joni) Merritt, and his sister Shirley (Leonard) Wyckoff.
He is survived by his brother Thomas (Darlene) Merritt of Grand Junction, Colorado, and his sister in-law Joni Merritt of Toole, Utah.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, October 25th in the afternoon at Memorial Gardens cemetery. The exact time will be confirmed and updated closer to the service date.
